Dress Code and Camp Necessities

Camp Hiawatha is a fun, casual environment: We play hard, get in the water, and  want to be comfortable when we do!

Tops:  Camp T-shirts (2 provided to each camper as part of their camp experience).

Bottoms: Personal preference within the following guidelines-

· Shorts must be of appropriate length—use common sense.  (No cheek-checkers.)

· All bottoms must be free of holes that are see-through.

Camp Hiawatha does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin or ethnic origin.

Swim Attire: Please select your swim attire with modesty in mind.  Girls are required to wear a 1-piece or 2-piece that completely covers the tummy/midriff (such as a tankini or similar style).  No low-cut tops, please.  Boys need to wear shorts-style swim suits that sit at the waist—no lower.  No brief or bikini styles.  If staff determines that a camper’s suit is not appropriate, the camper will be asked to change or to wear a shirt over their suit.

Other Necessities: A towel, flip-flops, sunscreen, hat, insect repellant, and water bottle, all labeled with the camper’s name.
